Our love story began in 2011 when I met Erik at my Uncle's house. At the time, I was going through a separation and raising my two boys and our fur baby Duffy, as a single mom, while Erik was also a single dad to his son. Despite initially just expecting a friendship and support system, we started to connect on a deeper level as I went through my divorce in 2012. Our bond grew stronger as we spent more time together, and eventually, Eventually, Erik practically moved in with me. I decided I needed a family support system and moved to Tennessee in November 2012; Erik was incredibly supportive, helping me pack up and promising to stay in contact. But instead of waiting, he packed up his things and joined us a month later, showing his commitment to me and my boys.

Even though I was hesitant due to past disappointments, Erik proved to be different. He supported me through the move and made the effort to be with me and my boys. Despite the challenges of blending our families, with already 3 boys, we welcomed our daughters Zuleyka, Dalary, and Jazlyn in 2014, 2016, and 2018, and adding another fur baby Bell, in 2021, respectively. We decided due to health complications after each pregnancy getting bigger and bigger we would not have more children, and enjoy the blessings we had. God decided to bless us with one more daughter, Joselyn, after meeting her mom and my now sister for life, Maritza, 5 1/2 years ago. She has completed our family!

Our love story may not be perfect, but it is uniquely ours. Filled with trials, distance, and triumphs, we face the world together, one day at a time, feeling incredibly blessed.
